Expeditions
Unlimited knows that your group is distinct
and so we customize each trip to fit the
needs of your group. You may be ready for a
fresh, strong challenge. On the other hand,
your group might just be beginning to break
the ice. Either way, Expeditions Unlimited
will provide a trip that you will never
forget.
We
work with you to craft a trip that will
effectively reach the members of your group,
right where they are. The examples below are
a sampling of the variety of trips we offer.
Many groups combine different trips—such as
rock climbing and rafting—while others may
do just a canoe trip. We tailor the trip to
your liking. If one of these appeals to
you—or if you have your own ideas for a
trip—give us a call! We want to work with
your group.

Rock Climbing
Devil's Lake State Park in Wisconsin is an
excellent place to go rock climbing in the
Midwest. As you hike up to the climbs, you
look out over the boulder field and see the
sun shimmering off the lake, and the clouds
touching the top of the hill across from
you. The climbs available at the park range
from beginner to advanced. So whether you
have never even walked up stairs before, or
you climb every other day, there is
something for you at Devil's Lake. All the
rock-climbing harnesses and equipment are
provided. Also, every participant goes
through a rock-climbing orientation and is
belayed by guides who are certified in
belaying.

Whitewater Rafting/Fun Yakking
This trip is fun for the adventurous and
not-so-adventurous. Whitewater rafting
provides students with the opportunity to
work with one other person in guiding their
raft down the Wolf River. They will run into
two waterfalls and five different sets of
rapids. There is also time for students to
just relax on the water as they float to the
next rapid. Fun Yakking is an activity where
each student is in their own Fun Yak
(blow-up kayak) and gets the chance to
navigate the Peshtigo River. This river is
full of constant rapids and is great fun.
Both rivers provide lots of fun for all ages
and skill levels of students.

Canoeing/Sandbar Camping/Swimming
Venturing out on the Wisconsin River and
relaxing on a sunny day is an excellent way
for your group to grow together. Students
learn how to paddle and steer their canoe
and work with a partner in their canoe.
Trips can last from one day to four days.
Camping on the sandbars is a fun experience
and swimming all day is a blast for the
students. Nothing could be better than
cooking s'mores over a campfire on the
sandbar and staring up into the stars that
God created.

Sea Kayaking
Take your group up to the border of the
United States for an awesome trip on Lake
Superior. As you load up your sea kayak and
take off onto the lake you just marvel and
how magnificent our world is that God has
created. You will get the opportunity to
learn the skills of a sea kayak and get to
see the beautiful Apostle Islands. Take your
group exploring the islands and find out
what all they have to offer.

Canoeing/Paddling/Portage
Take a leap away from civilization into the
deep wilderness. Take your group out to the
Boundary Waters in Minnesota for a good time
in God's creation. Load up your canoe with
everything you need for your trip, and
you're off on the adventure of a lifetime.
You will learn basic wilderness camping
skills and also the skill of portaging a
canoe between two lakes. This trip will
stretch your group and help them to grow
together and closer to God by being out in
his creation. This is definitely one of
those trips that no one will ever forget,
and where everyone will go home a different
person in some way.

Whitewater Rafting/Backpacking
Get your group together and head out east
towards West Virginia for some fun
whitewater rafting and backpacking. The New
River is another excellent place to go
rafting. You will be in a large raft that
carries about eight people and is guided
down the whitewater New River. This river
has class 3 to class 5 rapids and is great
for beginners or advanced rafters. It's full
of big rapids, big views, big adventure, and
big fun. After that, take your group out
backpacking on the well-known Appalachian
Trail. It's quite a feeling when you carry
everything you need for the next several
days on your back. Your group will work
together to make their way along the trail
and through the mountains. Look out at God's
beauty and watch your group grow closer to
God.

Dogsledding/Winter Camping
Looking for some adventure in the winter?
Well, here you have it. Take your group out
in Northwest Ontario for a fun week with
sled dogs. Learn to dogsled and guide your
dogs across the frozen lakes and through
portage trails. Camp out in a tent in below
zero temperatures (it's not really that
cold!) and stay in a tent with a
wood-burning stove. The beautiful snow and
creation around you will put you in awe of
what God has done. Get to know your dogs and
become their best pals. Get a chance to feed
them and take care of them as you are out in
the wilderness for several days. This isn't
a trip you want to pass up!

Houseboat/Water Sking/Cliff Jumping
Time to head out to Bull Shoals Lake in
Arkansas for fun in the sun with your group.
Your group will load up on houseboats (up to
15 per boat) and head out for several days
on the lake. The boats are equipped with
kitchens, bathrooms, bunk beds, swim deck,
and more. Students will get the chance each
day to cliff-jump, snorkel, water-ski,
wakeboard, tube, and even barefoot ski, not
to mention just relax in the sun and swim in
the water. This trip is loved by all. The
nightly sunset is something that you have
never seen before; the colors and designs
are simply marvelous. Use this environment
to share with your students and help them
grow in their walk with God.

Backpacking
Take your group backpacking near home in
Wisconsin. Your group will pack up
everything they need in their pack and head
out on the trail. Get a chance to swim in
lakes along the way and sleep off to the
side of the trail. Head deep into God's
creation and really get a chance to sit back
and think about God and the life you live.
Though it may be one of the tougher trips,
people always learn something about
themselves through it.

Canoeing/Wilderness Skills
Take your small group up to Canada for a life-changing
trip. This is one of our newest trips and can only handle
up to 12 students. After you arrive in Canada you jump
in a bush plane that brings you out to the Expeditions
property and lands on a lake. There you meet your guides
and start learning. Your group will be taught wilderness
skills needed for camping in the bush and learn canoeing
skills. Learn everything—from what berries you can eat
to how to carve your own canoe paddle. This trip is designed
for those students that you really want to invest time
in, who you want to be the leaders of your group. The
bond they develop and the skills they learn here they
will take with them, and help light your group on fire
for Christ! Check
