Summer Guides
Summer Guides
Expeditions Unlimited exists to impact the lives of youth and adults through God’s creation and outdoor adventure experiences, partnering with groups to intentionally point people toward Christ. This summer ministry position plays a vital role in that mission by guiding youth groups through outdoor adventures that create space for spiritual growth. Guides help participants experience God’s creation firsthand and intentionally connect those experiences to real-life challenges and faith development.

Expeditions Unlimited is seeking individuals who have a passion for the outdoors, a spirit of adventure, and a desire to join in God’s mission. Ideal candidates are teachable, hardworking, and committed, with a willingness to grow both technically and spiritually. Guides will develop outdoor leadership skills while learning to integrate those skills with relational ministry and discipleship.

The summer begins with 10–12 days of comprehensive staff training, where guides learn and refine the technical and relational aspects of leading trips. Following training, the season runs from late May through mid-August. Youth groups typically stay between two and six days and select their preferred activities. Guides are responsible for managing trip logistics, including meals, activity facilitation, and group coordination, allowing youth pastors and leaders to focus on discipling their students. Throughout each trip, guides live in community with their group, preparing and sharing meals, leading activities, and participating in times of worship and reflection. This immersive environment creates meaningful opportunities to build relationships, foster spiritual conversations, and model Christ-centered living.
